This is not your typical backoffice Office job. We are an upscale, Luxury company seeking a highly QUALIFIED individual ONLY. Our clientele is specific to the luxury purchasing enviroment, demanding excellence of our product and staff. This is a position in a Retail Showroom that focuses heavily on administrative functions.

While a typical Administrative Assistant likes to focus on functions that require little customer interaction, we are looking for someone who truly both enjoys administrative and organizational tasks on the computer (Mac), and is also perfectly happy and comfortable chatting with and helping our retail customers make purchasing decisions - ie somebody who also has innate selling skills. Thus, this position is a combination of Administrative Assistant AND Sales Associate, with a higher percentage of daily time being spent on administrative, desk functions.

Since we are a small, yet rapidly growing company, we are looking for a Jack (and Master) of all trades type, who is comfortable doing many different tasks, including going to our warehouse to perform shipping, receiving and inventory tasks. Light lifting and any tasks that might need to get done with a can-do attitude. It should be pointed out that this is also a family owned business, so if a corporate environment is what you are looking for, this is not the right job for you.

We are searching for a SELECT and QUALIFIED individual to assist us in our daily sales and administrative duties. Please reply ONLY if you meet our very specific criteria.

4. Provide daily effort in tasks from start to completion.
5. Highly Efficient, focusing on Time Management.
6. Highly proficient in computer skills and applications - Mac, Microsoft products (Excel, Powerpoint, Office, POS system) Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop or Cad programs a plus.
7. High Energy with a 150% daily performance mindset.
8. Enormous room for growth within our corporate structure.
9. Ability to think "Out of the Box" to achieve all tasks.
10. Interact properly with vendor/clientele in our GLOBAL Market to promote our sales effort.
11. Retail hours - Saturday Required
12. Perform all showroom and sales support functions as required in a timely and positive manner
13. Understand a New York type of work ethic and thrive on such a "can do" environment
14. Happily reports to other people, and anticipate what the next steps might be.
